The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

I thought it was about time for a haruhi post as a follow up to the lucky star one. Belive it or not, the other owner of this blog, thomas, has not watched it yet!! *shock* *horror*.
This series was fantastic, i seem to only be doing good reviews in this blog now that i think about it... hmmmm. Need to find a bad anime or game soon i suppose. Anyway, haruhi!!!


Theres been all this buzz going around about the second season but i almost feel like we will never get it. And now after 2 (or 3?) years kyoto animation has finally said that they are making a new haruhi series. Whatever that means. Whatever i will still count it as season 2.
Now lets talk about the series itself. One of the things i love about it, is that at first it seems like a regular high school comedy series but then it gets into the sci-fi backstory. And how even though everything is revolving around Haruhi, she never knows so she keeps the highschool comedy going. Not to mention haruhi on mikuru is extremely funny!
Of course there is a little romance on the side. Its been hinted strongly that yuuki likes kyon, mikuru likes kyon, kyon likes mikuru, haruhi likes kyon, and kyon might be confused about his feelings for haruhi. Yeah i kinda would like to see where it all goes, especially yuuki. Since kyon really respects her but dosent like her in that way.

This really is one of the best series out there. And its not only the incredible fame that shows that. This can be recommended to any number of anime fans out there.

And boo you thomas, boo you for not watching it yet!
