Okay, I may be ever so slightly late with this “News” but I couldn’t resist blogging about it. The first announcement is that the Silent Hill HD collection is now coming to the Xbox 360! As a 360 gamer and diehard Silent Hill fan I am obviously extremely happy and excited about this. The reaction to this announcement has been very positive so far which is a nice surprise, I’m sure there are some Playstation 3 fans out there who are just grief-stricken that millions more people will now have the chance to play the remastered collection, cry me a river.

It is slightly disappointing to be fair, it doesn’t really look any different, and I may have come to the realization that this ‘Remaster Collection’ already happened years ago when they released the two games on PC. The only difference I can see is a higher resolution… hopefully future screenshots will be a bit more exciting?
Oh and if you haven’t heard they are changing the voice acting.
I like the new Voice Acting, and this is the point where I get things thrown at me and then kicked out of the Silent Hill fandom (don’t do it! I love you!) but I really don’t see the problem here. It’s new, that’s why people are so damn agitated by it, I could tell the reaction was going to be feral ever since I heard of the change, but just take the time and get used to it. And if you really hate it, it’s just a HD collection that isn’t even much better looking so it doesn’t matter that much!
The new James is infinitely better, everyone else just sounds different and are going to take some getting used to. Other than that I’m slightly disappointed, I was going to buy this but unless I see some exciting new gameplay or graphics then I probably won’t even bother.
And Book of Memories looks like a piece of shit.

Not to be a dick or anything but for the screenshots could you make them a little more similar? With different camera angles and different placing of the character it's kind of hard to tell what parts are just different angles or actually a change in graphic quality.
Well those are (or were, since this article is rather old) the official comparison shots released by Konami, so I didn't have anything to do with them XP
But to be fair it is fricken difficult to get identicle screenshots for two consoles, and I think they did a good job.
