Yes I know this is old news, but I just can’t help making a blog post about this. After all Final Fantasy X is my favourite video game of all time, and the series is the pillar that is keeping my love of gaming up, so here’s the skinny on what I think!
I’m so glad this is finally happening, as soon as I realised that HD rereleases were starting to trend (thank you God of War!) I immediately dreamt of a HD package of the Final Fantasy PS2 era, X, X-2 and XII. Obviously only a third of this is happening at the moment, but I’m kind of glad they’ve decided to focus heavily on one single chapter at a time…
MAYBE THIS MEANS THEY’LL IMPROVE THE GAMEPLAY AND PIXELS.
Calm down Trxd. I do love FFX the way it is, but I’m so hopeful of the idea that changes will be made and more pixels will be added, its got to be more than just improved textures and a higher resolution, that isn’t much different to what you can do on PCSX2. I mean, Square Enix has been getting a lot of bad press recently, like a lot, and usually companies like this try to maintain their fan base by rehashing (I hate that word) some of their most loved old material, I think if SE truly commits to this and makes it more than just a rerelase, but a full-blown improved relaunch, they could market it to both old fans and new fans, and even recruit the new generation along the way.
I can just see it now, in lights, on busses, on billboards, on blimps! The FFX relaunch being advertised everywhere! The new generation never have to know its an old game!

FFX is a great game. Yes, the story may be linear than before, but it makes the story even better. All these whiners are complaining just because can not leave Scenes, just do not understand why Final Fantasy is first of all in history.
Yeah,I like a nice linear game sometimes if its as good of a ride as Final Fantasy X is. As long as the experience is great, who on earth cares whether its linear or not?
Unskippable scenes were never a nuisance for me, I just love Final Fantasy cutscenes =3

I play all the sequel of Final Fantasy. It is very nice game to play and now i want to play Final Fantasy X in HD. I think that it is more interesting and entertaining than the first one.
